Every year as fall approaches, families start anticipating the long awaited holiday movie releases. This year, November and December have some new movies, some remakes and a few sequels that have children of all ages eagerly watching their calendars.

Among the most anticipated are Puss in Boots, a retelling of the Charles Perrault classic, with better than ever animations. Puss is up to all kinds of schemes, as usual, which promises to have the theatres roaring with laughter. This charming tale is set to hit theatres worldwide on 4 November.

Then there is the sequel to the arctic tale that so beguiled audiences a few years back, Happy Feet 2. Being released a full two weeks after Puss In Boots, there will be plenty of time in between to wait out the crowds for an 18 November showing. Of course another few days later brings the release of yet another children’s favorite, the Muppets on 23 November.

As we get even closer to the holidays, watch for Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked that is live action onboard ship with those cuddly little critters. Finally, just the week before Christmas, 16 December, comes the release of what promises to become a family favorite, We Bought a Zoo. With two hundred animals, a broken down zoo and a family looking for a new start, viewers will be caught between laughter and tears.

Each of these movies promises to be a huge box office success which is something cinemas have been lacking of late. There will also be an eclectic blend of action movies, adult romances and your run of the mill horror flicks, but for family entertainment, this year looks to be one up on the previous few. Just in time for the winter holidays, 2011 new movie releases will provide tons of entertainment for family nights out.

Grab a box of popcorn, a warm cup of cocoa and let the fun begin!

When you go on holiday or just out for the evening with your significant other, you do not always have to spend a lot of money on things like entertainment.

Many nice restaurants feature live entertainment which is included in your visit. In addition, there are always free concert events being held at different parks. Some pubs have open mic night at certain times throughout the week. If free entertainment isn’t a possibility then there are also a number of websites where you can order tickets to events at a discounted rate.

Depending on the type of entertainment you are into, there is always something which can be found that will not empty your pockets. If you are into music then check the local listings to see what bands may be playing at the different nightclubs throughout your city. Many times the only thing you pay in this case is a door charge to get into the pub. Of course this does not mean there will not be occasions which will require you to pay premium prices for entertainment. However, doing this every night is simply not necessary.

Typically, larger cities such as London offer a wide variety of choices when it comes to entertainment. There are always local bands and musicians performing at one place or another. Many times up and coming artists will perform for very low prices in order to be introduced to the public. You might be surprised to know how easy it was to see famous groups like the Beatles or the Rolling Stones before they rose to stardom. The same can be said of the newer groups that are just breaking into the music business. Comedy clubs are also an excellent source of entertainment and tickets are not usually very high priced.
